I think it's just easier to address this from the points.
#NERF ZOMBIE STRIKE LONGSHOT MOD#
The sources I've been looking at are below if anyone's interested basically a list of mod kits and other stuff related to longshot modding none of the mod kits are purchased at this time as I kinda want to replace every internal possible with metal parts.
#NERF ZOMBIE STRIKE LONGSHOT HOW TO#
So far I've had trouble sourcing anything more than a 22kg spring apart from possibly the ace hardware #69 spring or the nerf turf 26KG spring which appears to be out of stock.Īlso wondering if anyone knows how to roughly calculate ideal barrel length. I'll most likely replace most of the internals and reinforce the shell so it won't blow up on me and hoping I can get more than a 30KG spring for it somehow. I've been looking at other peoples experiences with heavy springs on longshots I was wondering if anyone had tried to use a crossbow crank as a means of priming a Longshot or any nerf gun really.

However it does take a lot of trial and error out of the equation and will help as a jumping off point.I'm looking at doing heavy modification to a zombie strike Longshot (Basically trying to get it above 300FPS). This isn't a 100% guaranteed method as it does rely on some guess work and if you take images offline there's a probability they've been edited ever so slightly (contrast and brightness) and if taking them yourself you want to use a diffuse white light source a standard light bulb has an orange tone which will effect the colour reaching the camera. Another useful tool is ColourHexa if you have the Hexidecimal value for your colour (which can be converted from RGB values) its a useful tool if your tone or shade is a little off it will give you the Hex values of similar colours plus if you are looking to match a colour with complementary or analogous colours this tool will do the work for you. Once you've selected your colour open up the colour editor and you should be able to find the Red, Green, Blue or RGB values these numbers can be put into tools such as e-paint which can find a suitable colour code. Use the pipette tool to select part of the image with your desired colour its best to select a few areas and eyeball the difference in brightness and darkness of the colour you select as in an image its unlikely to be uniform try to select a colour that isn't too bright or too dark. Unofficial Nerf Fandom Wiki Page (Not affiliated with r/Nerf)Ī good way to help in finding a colour match is getting a picture or taking a picture of your blaster opening the image in a photo editor of some description (even paint is fine).
